Reading Reinforcement Games Book 1
This book is designed as a photocopy master for teachers to use to develop games for use as reading reinforcement during a reading session.

How To Use The Games
The games are designed to practice skills that are necessary as a part of the reading process. It is important that the games are used within the context of a total reading program.
Use for -
1) specific skill teaching based on a recognized need for a child or group. Teacher directed then leading to independent use.
2) reinforcement (practice) of a skill taught within, or arising from, a group or individual lesson.
3) a mixed ability group, so that more able children can assist others.
4) an activity for a reading group rotation.
5) a chosen activity after set reading work has been completed.
Possible extension ideas have been included on the page before each game. These can be added in after a week of just playing the game then changed each week to give variety, where applicable.
These could be put on cards and included in the game or included on a rotation chart next to the game.
